• Queensland Government funding to help NQ manufacturers innovate - North Queensland manufacturers will be able to save valuable time and money developing new products, thanks to a program being delivered by the Queensland Government, in conjunction with James Cook University.
• New northern partnership to boost emergency animal disease preparedness - Queensland, in partnership with the Northern Territory and Western Australia, will have even stronger surveillance and preparedness for emergency animal diseases with an injection of $4.33 million in federal funding.
• Queensland Government Helping Queensland’s Riverine Environments Recover - More than $19 million in disaster assistance is now available to repair damaged riverine areas following severe flooding which impacted large areas of Queensland in early 2022. Applications close 24 February 2023.
• Funding to support the recovery of Queensland's threatened freshwater aquatic species - More than $1.4 million in funding is now available to help Queensland’s threatened freshwater aquatic species to recover from recent extraordinary flooding and rainfall events.
• A Significant Project to Optimise Australia’s Clinical Trials - PRAXIS Australia have secured a significant project and will work in collaboration with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care to improve the confidence and capability of the clinical trial workforce in Australia.
• New funding for The Bridge Program to continue its successful pharma commercialisation training in 2023 - The Bridge Program is proud to announce that MTPConnect will be the new sponsor of its successful Australian pharmaceutical commercialisation training program delivered by QUT.
• $24 million Enterprise Acceleration Fund to supercharge innovation - Queensland Government has announced a new $24 million Enterprise Acceleration Fund to invest in growing Queensland start-ups, supporting more good jobs.
• Online training supports good jobs in face of hitchhiker pests - New online training packages will support good jobs in agriculture by helping more people recognise exotic pests and diseases.
• All industries now on Business Launchpad - Starting or running a business will be easier in Queensland with all businesses now covered by Queensland Business Launchpad.
• SMEs going for gold with $300 million injection to Buy Queensland - Queensland’s small and medium-sized businesses are set for a $300 million boost as the Queensland Government lifts the Buy Queensland small and medium business procurement target from 25 per cent to 30 per cent.
• Best ideas sought for sustainable Queensland biz, communities and jobs - Queensland’s innovators and entrepreneurs are being encouraged to pitch their best solutions to help businesses and communities reduce emissions, transition to renewable energy and support good jobs.
• Fast-tracking research with real-world potential - The Queensland Government is fast-tracking more good, secure jobs and business opportunities in the innovation economy with the opening of the 2022 Advance Queensland Industry Research Fellowships.
• Brisbane's MedTech Initiative - Global Accelerator EOIs Application Open 16 August 2022 - The accelerator is designed to fast-track global investment opportunities for early-stage ventures in Brisbane and open international market pathways.
• National agreement to fast-track energy emissions reductions - Queensland has today scored a major win for climate action with a national agreement to enshrine emissions reductions objectives into laws governing Australia’s energy market.
• Queensland Government subsidy helping Qld Manufacturing businesses - The Queensland Government subsidy is helping Queensland manufacturers boost sustainability and cut costs when it comes to reducing energy, water and waste.
• Queensland Government boosts Foot and Mouth Disease preparations - The Queensland Government will recruit a specialised squad of trained biosecurity officers to boost the states frontline defences against outbreaks.
