LSQ welcomes Dr Ryan Parlett as Acting CEO

Life Sciences Queensland (LSQ) is pleased to announce that Dr Ryan Parlett has been appointed as our Acting CEO, starting today. Ryan brings a wealth of experience to lead the organisation into its next phase. 

As part of this, LSQ will be undertaking a detailed strategic review of our organisation that will involve engaging with members and stakeholders across the life sciences ecosystem to gain important feedback.   

Dr Parlett has more than 20 years’ experience in the life sciences sector spanning business development, commercialisation, manufacturing, grants and incentives, consulting, government relations, and industry advocacy.  He has extensive experience of working in both Australian and international markets, including the USA, Europe and APAC, including South Korea, Japan and China.  

He was the previous Chair for the AusBiotech Queensland State Committee and previous Chair for the Science, Technology & Innovation Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham).

Dr Parlett said he has a passion for the Queensland life sciences sector.

“It has been great to see the ecosystem grow not only in Queensland but nationally,” he said.

“A large part of my focus will be leading the strategic review of LSQ over the coming months to ensure the organisation remains a peak body for the life sciences in Queensland and continues to meet the needs of its members and the sector.

“I would like to thank the Board of Directors for my appointment to lead this important review to ensure LSQ continues to deliver its ongoing commitments to its members and key stakeholders.”
